Georgetown at Syracuse College Basketball Betting

College basketball betting has two of the best teams in the country meeting on Monday in a Big East clash as Syracuse hosts Georgetown in a game that can be seen on ESPN.

The Orange are ranked in the Top 5 and have just one loss on the season but Georgetown is not far back with only three losses this season.  Those that bet on college basketball will probably lean with Syracuse but Georgetown is capable of winning on the road. College basketball betting had Georgetown upsetting Pittsburgh on the road last week so the Hoyas are capable of beating anyone.  “Georgetown’s played as well as anybody in the league or better, probably better, and they’ll be here Monday,” said Syracuse basketball coach Jim Boeheim.  The Hoyas will try and hand Syracuse only their second loss of the season.  The Orange defeated Marquette on Saturday 76-71 in front of 29,011 fans at the Carrier Dome. Wes Johnson led the Orange with 22 points and 15 rebounds, while Kris Joseph had 14 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.  Syracuse is 19-1 for the third time in the last 34 years.

Georgetown did not have a letdown after upsetting Pittsburgh as they routed Rutgers on Saturday 88-63.  Greg Monroe had 21 points and 14 rebounds. Chris Wright had 16 points and six assists while Austin Freeman added 14 points.  The Hoyas are definitely a team to follow as you bet on college basketball.  The Hoyas are 5-2 vs. the college basketball betting odds in their last 7 road games.  The problem for Georgetown has been on Mondays as they are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 Monday games.   Another concern for those taking Syracuse as they bet on college basketball is that the Hoyas are 1-5 ATS in the last 6 meetings in Syracuse.

Syracuse has simply been excellent in the conference as they are 12-3 in college basketball betting in their last 15 vs. the Big East. They have normally been solid at home in college basketball betting as they are 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home games even though they did not cover the college basketball betting line against Marquette.  Syracuse has the 6th best offense in all of college basketball, averaging 84 points per game. They should get tested against a Georgetown defense that is 37th in the country.

The last five Georgetown games have all gone over the college basketball betting total.  Four of the last five Syracuse home games have gone over the bet on college basketball number.
