Florida at Kentucky on Sunday, March 7, 2010. College basketball favors 11th-ranked Michigan State on Sunday as they host Michigan in a game that can be seen on CBS. College basketball betting has Kentucky looking for a #1 seed while Florida is just trying to make the NCAA Tournament. The Gators have done pretty well against Kentucky but winning at Rupp Arena is never easy. They might make it anyway but would probably need at least one and perhaps two wins in next week’s SEC Tournament. The Gators blew a big chance on Tuesday as they lost 64-60 to Vanderbilt. The Gators really needed that win and now they probably need at least another win to make it. The Gators have not been in the NCAA Tournament since winning it in back-to-back years in 2006 and in 2007. “This one was huge,” UF junior forward Chandler Parsons said. “You win this one, you’re in the NCAA Tournament. It definitely hurts to fall short, especially on Senior Night for Dan [Werner] and with everything on the line, but we can’t hang our heads and let them beat us twice. We’ve got to bounce back and play the best team in the conference on Sunday.”
The NCAA Tournament committee really looks at recent games and Florida is hurting their chances. Losing to Georgia and Vanderbilt is not good and a loss to Kentucky would make it three straight losses heading into the SEC tourney. That is not a resume for making it to the big dance.
Winning at Kentucky doesn’t seem likely for the Gators. Kentucky is playing for a top seed in the NCAA Tournament so they will not have a letdown in this college basketball betting game.
