Teams to Consider

Overall the Baylor Bears and Iowa State Cyclones join Texas and Oklahoma as potential bubble teams.  A poor effort in the Big 12 tournament could prove fatal in their ability at getting a Big Dance Invite next week.  While these teams have shown flashes of brilliance, they have also busted bankrolls with upset losses.  On the other hand, Kansas State and Texas Tech may be facing letdown scenarios.  Sharing the Big 12 title may take some edge off their game against more potentially desperate opponents.

Many Betting Options

Now Kansas State and Texas will attract betting on college basketball action as the co-champions of the regular season.  K-State was particularly impressive with just 12 losses against the spread in 31 games.  Further, the Wildcats will enter this tournament with plenty of momentum.  Consider the Cats have lost just two of their last 10 to the line.  KSU boasts the nation’s fourth ranked defense in the country.  Texas Tech also has the hot hand with eight covers in their last nine games.   Similarly, the Red Raiders defense ranks second best in the land.

Kansas Jayhawks

Few teams were as perplexing as the Kansas Jayhawks.  KU finished 23-8 straight up but only 14 17 vs. the odds.  Head coach Bill Self’s team did show online wagering value improvement down the stretch.  To illuminate the Jayhawks paid in five of their last eight games.  KU will boast perhaps the best player in the entire tournament in Dedric Lawson.  As an example, Lawson leads Kansas with 19.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game.  Despite their problems the Jayhawks must be considered a capable championship threat.

Baylor Bears

Extending the Big 12 contender status are the Baylor Bears.  However, Baylor is limping into the Big 12 tournament with just one payout in their last 10 games.  Of great concern is an offense that ranked 202nd in the country.

Iowa State Cyclones

Additionally, the Iowa State Cyclones could prove to be a dangerous wild card.  ISU did finish the season with the benchmark 20 straight up wins and Marial Shayok is an asset with 18.7 points per game.

Matchup to Watch

In this situation Kansas rates the Betting on college basketball advantage.  K-State and Texas Tech spent all they had in the regular season.  KU has the motivation to atone for a disappointing campaign.
