Arizona vs. Louisville Sweet Sixteen March Madness Odds

December 1, 2010 NCAA Basketball

March Madness odds in the Sweet Sixteen are the highest in the game between the Arizona Wildcats and Louisville Cardinals.

The top seeded Cardinals are nine point March Madness betting favorites against the 12th seeded Wildcats.

March Madness odds numbers show that Arizona is 21-13 on the season and 20-13 against the spread while Louisville is 30-5 and 21-14 against the number.  The Cardinals are the #1 seed in the Midwest region but they have not sailed through the NCAA Tournament thus far.  They struggled for awhile against Morehead State in the first round and had all kinds of trouble against Siena before pulling away.  Terrence Williams has been superb for Louisville so far.  The Cardinals can make their second straight Elite Eight in March Madness betting with a win over Arizona.

Arizona came into the NCAA Tournament as a team that had underachieved all season. The Wildcats may have slipped in as a #12 seed but they do have some NBA type talent.  Nic Wise, Chase Budinger and Jordan Hill can all impact the Sweet Sixteen odds.  March Madness odds history is definitely not on the Wildcats side in this game.  March Madness betting history tells us that of the previous sixteen #12 seeds to make the Sweet Sixteen only one made it to the Elite Eight.  It is tough to buck those types of numbers and Arizona has not played a team like Louisville in the NCAA Tournament.  Wins over Utah and Cleveland State are nice in March Madness odd but Louisville is a notch above those teams.

March Madness betting numbers show that the Wildcats are 8-2 against the March Madness odds in their last 10 NCAA Tournament games. The Wildcats are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 non-conference games. The Wildcats are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as an underdog as Sweet Sixteen odds stats indicate.

The Cardinals are 6-2-1 against the March Madness odds in their last 9 NCAA Tournament games as a favorite. The Cardinals are 16-7 ATS in their last 23 games overall as Sweet Sixteen odds numbers indicate. The Cardinals are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.

Looking at the March Madness betting odds total we see that the Over is 6-0 in the Wildcats last 6 NCAA Tournament games as an underdog. The Over is 5-1-1 in the Wildcats last 7 vs. the Big East as Sweet Sixteen odds stats show. The Over is 11-4 in the Wildcats last 15 overall. The Under is 13-6-1 in the Cardinals last 20 non-conference games.
