2022 Big Ten Conference Tournament Betting Odds

Once upon a time, the Big Ten Conference was considered the best in the nation. That is no longer the case. But the Big Ten still provides quality with the College Basketball odds. There may not be a dominant team in the Big Ten. But there is tremendous parity in the league. Along the same lines, several teams can win the Big Ten Tournament. Wisconsin is a great illustration of the Big Ten equality factor. The Badgers won the regular-season championship. Yet UW is not a top favorite to win the conference tournament.

Purdue Boilermakers 25-6 SU, 13-16-2 ATS, 17-14 OU

Of major concern is that Purdue is in a sportsbook free fall. The Boilermakers have failed to cover eight of their last nine games. Purdue led the Big Ten regular-season race most of the year before their fade that opened the door for Wisconsin. Still, Purdue ranks 7th out of 350 teams for scoring offense and 1st for defensive rebounding. The sharpshooting Boilermakers are 3rd for 3-point field goal percentage. Guard Jaden Ivory leads Purdue with 17.2 points per game. At the same time, center Zach Edey brings 14.7 points and 7.6 rebounds per contest.

Illinois Fighting Illini 21-8 SU, 13-16 ATS, 17-11 OU

At the onset of the season, many saw Illinois as the best team in the Big Ten. That only served to damage the Fighting Illini wagering value as the most public team in the Big Ten. Illinois has failed to pay in four of its most recent six games. Most important of all, the Fighting Illini boast the best player in the Big Ten, if not the country itself. Center Kofi Cockburn averages 21 points and 10.5 rebounds per contest.

On this occasion, Illinois makes for a strong threat to win this tournament. Especially after falling short in the regular season.

Iowa Hawkeyes 22-8 SU, 18-12 ATS, 19-10 OU

At the beginning of the season, Iowa was written off as a rebuilding program. But head coach Fran McCaffery may have turned in his most effective coaching performance with the Hawkeyes. Iowa ranks 5th in the nation for scoring offense. However, a defense ranked 236th for points allowed offsets much of that. Another concern is that Iowa ranks 268th for defensive rebounding. Forward Keegan Murray emerged to score 23.3 points with 8.5 rebounds per contest.

Wisconsin Badgers 24-5 SU, 17-12 ATS, 18-11 OU

On the whole, the Badgers are in good form with five payouts in their most recent seven games. Wisconsin has cleared the College basketball betting total in four of its most recent six outings. Namely, guard Jonathan Davis leads the Badgers with 20.3 points and 8.3 rebounds per contest. Wisconsin is a team greater than the sum of its total parts.

Its tenacity doesn’t show on the stat sheet. But it was a major factor in UW winning the Big Ten regular-season title.
