2021 ACC Tournament Looking Wide Open

A clear difference in ACC perception is apparent for 2021. Duke and North Carolina are the name brands of the ACC. Regular season results show the Blue Devils and Tar Heels buried in the middle of the pack. Instead, it is Florida State and Virginia that dominated the regular season. From there, eight teams were within a game of each other for total conference wins. All of which makes for multiple possibilities with the College Basketball odds. It follows that the ACC Tournament could be the most fluid of any on the board. Parity reigns in the ACC!

Despite their mixed results and poor wagering value, Duke and North Carolina will still draw massive online betting handles. Cause by the power of their name brands. Florida State has emerged as a brand in its own right over the past few seasons. While Virginia is a recent national champion. Louisville and Syracuse are respected names as well. Clemson, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech are less regarded and may offer superior value.

Florida State Seminoles (15-4 SU, 11-7-1 ATS, 12-5 O/U)

Florida State ranked 27th out of 350 teams for scoring. So too did FSU rank 7th best in the land for 3-point shooting. MJ Walker leads with 13.1 points per game.

Virginia Cavaliers (16-6 SU, 10-11-1 ATS, 12-10 O/U)

The defense is the calling card of the Cavaliers. To illustrate, UVA ranks 5th out of 350 teams for points allowed and 7th for defensive rebounding. Virginia is an eyesore offensively and ranks 256th for scoring. Of great concern is that the Cavaliers have paid in only two of their last nine. Sam Hauser averaged 15.5 points and 6.7 rebounds per game.

Virginia Tech Hokies (15-5 SU, 11-9 ATS, 11-9 O/U)

Second-year coach Mike Young has maintained the winning ways established by predecessor Buzz Williams. VTC has dropped three of their last four to the spread. Defensively, the Hokies rank 48th for points allowed. Keve Aluma averaged 15.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game.

Louisville Cardinals (13-5 SU, 9-8-1 ATS, 9-9 O/U)

Late on, the Cardinals have covered four of their last six. Louisville ranks 241st for scoring but 66th for points allowed. Carlik Jones supplies most of the offense with 17.6 points per game.

North Carolina Tar Heels (15-9 SU, 10-13-1 ATS, 10-14 O/U)

Duke Blue Devils (11-10 SU, 7-14 ATS, 13-7 O/U)

On the whole, the Blue Devils have been one of the worst values on the board. A defense ranked 227th for points allowed is a drag on the College basketball odds. Matthew Hurt averages 18.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game.

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (14-8 SU, 13-9 ATS, 12-8 O/U)

Fashion that the Ramblin Wreck has paid in six of their last seven games. Fifth-year coach Josh Pastner has had a breakthrough season. Moses Wright leads with 18.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per outing.

Clemson Tigers (15-6 SU, 10-10-1 ATS, 10-11 O/U)

Namely, 11th-year coach Brad Bromwell is an under-the-radar winner. Clemson ranks 11th best in the land for points allowed.
