West Bench Players and NBA All Star Game Odds at SBG Global

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

NBA All Star Game odds represent the best of best when it comes to talented basketball players.

In 2009 we already know which players are going to start for the respective teams in the NBA All Star Game betting competition. But what we don’t know quite yet is which players will ride the pine for the NBA All Star Game odds competition –a somewhat strange concept considering that any player selected for the NBA All Star Game betting competition are generally superstars in their own right.

NBA All Star Game odds makers have given the subject much thought and until the final NBA All Star Game betting rosters are released it’s anybody’s guess as to which players will actually be on the team.  But if we’re to speculate as to which players might be on the final NBA All Star Game odds roster for the west, a list of likely candidates follows below:

Brandon Roy of the Portland Trailblazers will almost assuredly receive his first invite to the NBA All Star Game odds competition this year.  Roy has matured into perhaps the best young guard in the league and is simply one big performance in the playoffs or the NBA All Star Game odds show down from becoming a super star.  The fact that he plays in a small market hurts him, but the national stage of the NBA All Star Game odds competition should help his cause.  Steve Nash is a lock at the back up point guard for the West’s NBA All Star Game odds squad and most likely Chauncey Billups will join them after the masterful work he’s done in Denver.

The West’s NBA All Star Game odds roster will also add handful of big men.  A lock at the forward spot appears to be Minnesota’s Al Jefferson who should make his first appearance at the NBA All Star Game betting weekend.  He’s been abusing defenses and providing hope in the long Minnesota winter.  Carmelo Anthony is an NBA All Star Game odds shoe-in as well, narrowly missing out on a starting spot.  Former NBA MVP Dirk Nowitzski should also pack his bags for the NBA All Star Game odds weekend as he’s all but guaranteed a spot.  One NBA All Star Game odds newcomer that could also very likely be in Pheonix for the West Squad is Utah Jazz player Paul Milsap.  But he’ll have to beat out NBA All Star Game odds regulars like Shaq and Tracy McGrady.
