As the 2015-16 NBA Regular Season moves on this Monday the 25th of January 2016 we have an interesting game on the schedule with the Western Conference rivals the 40-4 Golden State Warriors (1st Western Conference) playing at the 38-6 San Antonio Spurs (2nd Western Conference) with the game being played in Oracle Arena in Oakland, California with the tip-off scheduled for 10:40 PM ET and seen on NBA TV and for radio fans listen to KNBR 680.
As with most NBA games the odds are not posted at the gaming sites until the day of the game. And this is a game that he NBA fans have been waiting for time as the 2 teams meet for the 1st time this Season, yes the Spurs at the Warriors. The Warriors now have their head coach S. Spurrier back at the helm, and that just adds more excitement to this game, especially since the Spurs coach G. Popovich has always been a keen competitor. Their star S. Curry had his 2nd triple double of this season and scored a high of 39 points with 11 rebounds and 11 assists, while D. Green aided the cause with a double –double as he scored 23 points and had 12 rebounds in the game, and the other splash brother K. Thompson scored 19 points with 5 assist and 3 rebounds.
These 2 teams represent the fact that different types of offensive and defensive play can take a team to being successful in the basketball world. The Golden State Warriors being a team that likes to take advantage of the opponent’s mistakes, and they love to play the game in the fast mode. While the San Antonio Spurs like to slow the game and execute all over the court with a high rate of success.
But amazingly these 2 teams in the NBA in just about all of the statistical categories like shooting and opponent shooting %, 3 points shooting and opponents % and assists, and the 2 teams both are playing a great game of basketball, and likely the reason the game has been such an anticipated match-up for the fans this 2015-16 NBA betting season.
In the offseason San Antonio was projected to be league winners as their performances indicated they were playing at the top of their game. That’s because offensively San Antonio is a team that ranks in the top for offensive points and the scoring by opposing teams each game this season. Offensively they have a trio of veterans in T. Duncan, T. Parker and M. Ginobili while presently the team’s top player is K. Leonard. But the Spurs similar to or better than the Warriors, have roster that has a lot of depth and talent. Therefore in this game it’s likely that the winner will be determined by who gets the most points from their substitute roster in this game.
