The Phoenix Suns have been a major success so far in basketball playoffs betting. The Suns swept away the San Antonio Spurs in four straight games and they covered the NBA betting odds in each game. Steve Nash even got his eye bloodied in Game 4 and came back and was effective. “It’s just something with the Spurs and his nose or eyes,” Suns Coach Alvin Gentry said, “It’s always something with his face. Steve has taken us to a good place, and it all started with training camp. He’s just a determined person. I thought he had a better year this year than when he won the MVP’s.” Nash was able to play with his eye swollen. He even made a number of big shots even though he couldn’t see out of one eye. “It gave me a little bit of confidence that I could help my team and thankfully, someone was smiling on us tonight,” Nash said, “I don’t want to glorify it and turn it into a fairy tale, but it’s been a long time since I beat this team.” Nash had 20 points and eight assists in the Game 4 win. Amare Stoudemire had a game-high 29 points.
Phoenix could be a threat against the Lakers in the Western Conference Finals. This is a different Phoenix teams in NBA betting than in past years. They have a tough head coach, a balanced offense and a lot more determination than in the past.
