San Antonio Spurs at Milwaukee Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting odds are very close on Saturday as the San Antonio Spurs visit the Milwaukee Bucks.

It is the first game of a brief two-game road trip for the Spurs as they are at New York tomorrow. San Antonio and Milwaukee have split the last five games but the Bucks are 7-3 against the NBA betting odds in those games.

Basketball betting had San Antonio winning at home last month against the Bucks in a 112-98 rout. The Spurs have not done as well at Milwaukee though, losing three of the last four. The Bucks won 82-78 at home in basketball betting against the Spurs a year ago. The last two meetings in Milwaukee between the two teams have gone under but overall, five of the last seven games have gone over the basketball betting total. Last season the Bucks outrebounded the Spurs 90-66 in their two wins.

San Antonio’s troubles this basketball betting season have been on the road. The Spurs are just 3-6 versus the NBA betting odds away from home this season. The Spurs are capable of winning anywhere in basketball betting but too often they are inconsistent. San Antonio is 10th in the league in scoring and 10th in the league in fewest points allowed. On paper the Spurs have a very good lineup led by Tim Duncan and Tony Parker but far too often this basketball betting season the team has seemed out of synch.

Milwaukee has been led this basketball betting season by rookie sensation Brandon Jennings. The Bucks still have a losing basketball betting record but at least with Jennings they are fun to watch and competitive. Even Andrew Bogut has had his moments this NBA betting season. The problem for the Bucks in basketball betting is that Bogut is far too inconsistent which leaves the scoring up to Jennings and Michael Redd. There is just no inside presence other than Bogut and too often he is not a factor. That is shown in the overall stats as Milwaukee is 19th in the league in scoring. That is not going to get it done when the defense is outside the Top 10 as NBA betting stats show. One thing that has been consistent for the Bucks is that they have been going over the basketball betting total at home and that could happen again in this game against the Spurs.
