NBA Betting – San Antonio at Dallas

October 3rd, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting for Wednesday includes a rivalry game in Dallas as the Mavericks host the San Antonio Spurs in a game that can be seen on ESPN. It is already the second time the teams have played this season in basketball betting as they met a week ago. Here are some stats and notes for this matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks.

NBA wagering favors the Mavericks at home in this matchup on Wednesday.  Last year in this series, Tony Parker averaged 31.3 points per game for the Spurs while Dirk Nowitzki averaged 26.8 points per game as basketball gaming statistics indicated.  The Spurs lead the all-time series 83-58 and 36-34 in Dallas.

The Spurs have a different look in NBA betting this season since they have added Richard Jefferson to the big three of Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.  In his first two games, Jefferson didn’t do much but he is averaging 18.5 points in his last six games. He is coming off a big game against the Mavericks last time out as he had 29 points, 7 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 1 block.

Dallas has won six of the last ten games against San Antonio and they are 6-4 against the basketball betting odds in those games.  They lost the last one though as the Spurs won 92-83 last Wednesday in NBA betting.  The last time the teams played in Dallas was during last year’s playoffs when the Mavericks eliminated the Spurs.  Dallas has won three of the last four home matchups against the Spurs.  Three of those four games went over in NBA betting.

The Spurs are 4-4 both straight up and against the NBA wagering odds this season.  San Antonio has not done well in basketball betting on the road. They are 0-3 against the NBA betting number on the road this season.  San Antonio is 8th in the league in points scored but they have not played well on defense as they are 18th in points allowed as NBA betting statistics show.

Dallas is 3-1 at home this season in NBA betting. The Mavericks have almost opposite NBA wagering numbers from San Antonio. Dallas is 8th in defense but 14th in offense.  Defense is oftentimes what wins in NBA betting though and that is why Dallas comes into this matchup with the better record.
