Phoenix Suns at Philadelphia Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting on Monday has an NBA-TV contest between the Phoenix Suns and Philadelphia 76ers.

It is the last game of a tough five-game road trip for the Suns and the second half of a back-to-back in NBA betting as they were at Washington last night.  It is also a back-to-back in basketball betting for the Sixers as they were at Detroit on Sunday.

Basketball betting has seen the two teams split the season series the past tow years.  Both teams are averaging nearly 110 points over the past four NBA betting meetings.  Last season in this basketball betting matchup it was Philadelphia averaging 112 points on 48.6% shooting while Phoenix averaged 108 points on 50.3% shooting. The Sixers committed just 16 turnovers in the two games and made 42 free throws which were more than the Suns even attempted.  Thaddeus Young averaged 24 points on 64.5% shooting per game for Philadelphia.  Jason Richardson averaged 20.5 points on 53.3% shooting for the Suns.

The Suns are 4-1 in basketball betting in their last 5 vs. the Eastern Conference. The Suns have struggled on Mondays going 3-7 in NBA betting in their last 10 Monday games. The Suns are 10-4 ATS in the last 14 meetings against Philadelphia.  Phoenix has played well early in the season but this game on the road with no rest will be a tough test.

The 76ers are 3-8 in basketball betting in their last 11 vs. the Western Conference. The 76ers have also struggled on Monday’s as they are 2-6 in NBA betting in their last 8 Monday games. The 76ers are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games playing on no rest. The home team is 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings between these two teams.  Philadelphia has not had a winning month of November since 2002-03.

The last four Phoenix games vs. the Atlantic have gone over the basketball betting total. Seven of the last eight Phoenix games when they were playing with no rest have gone over the basketball betting number.  Five of the last seven road games for Phoenix have gone under in basketball betting.  Five of the last six Philly games with no rest have gone over in basketball betting.  Five of their last six home games have gone under.  Seven of the last ten Philadelphia games overall have gone under in basketball betting.
