Phoenix Suns at Cleveland Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting favors Cleveland on Wednesday even though the Suns actually have a better record than the Cavaliers.

It is a tough spot for Phoenix in NBA betting as they are playing the last game of a four-game road trip and the second half of a back-to-back as they were at New York last night.  Here are some things to keep in mind as you look at this matchup between the Suns and Cavaliers.

Basketball betting has picked up on the Cavaliers lately as Cleveland has won nine of their last 11 games straight up and four straight home games. The Cavs are also 4-0 against teams from the Western Conference this season. They are the only Eastern Conference to not have a loss against a Western team this season. The Cavaliers swept the season series with the Suns last year as LeBron James and Mo Williams had big games. Williams averaged 37 points while LeBron averaged 30 points per game.  Williams had a career-high 44 points in one of the basketball betting victories.

James and Williams have done well so far this basketball betting season. LeBron is third in the league in scoring at 29.2 points per game.  Williams is averaging 17.8 points per game as basketball betting stats show. Combined, the duo is third in the league behind only Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum at 47.8 points combined per game and the Nuggets Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups at 47.6 points per game.

On Saturday, the Cavs routed Dallas 111-95 in basketball betting. Even though Cleveland is 12-5 overall this season straight up, they are just 8-9 versus the NBA betting odds. They have won two straight at home versus Phoenix in this basketball betting series. They routed Phoenix 109-92 in Cleveland last March in NBA betting as Williams had his big game.

Even though Phoenix has lost two straight in this series they have still won 6 of the last 10 against the Cavaliers and they are 6-4 in basketball betting in those games. The teams have split their last four meetings in Cleveland both straight up and against the basketball betting pointspread.

If you look at the basketball betting total in this game you will notice that 8 of the last 10 in this series have gone over in NBA betting. That includes five straight high scoring basketball betting games in Cleveland.
