Philadelphia 76ers at Washington Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting on Tuesday includes a matchup in Washington between two struggling teams as the Wizards host the Philadelphia 76ers.

It is the second game of a three-game trip for the Sixers and the first of a back-to-back NBA betting situation as after tonight against Washington they are at Boston on Wednesday.

Basketball betting saw Philadelphia sweep the Wizards, winning all four games. It was the first sweep for Philly since the 2002-03 season.  In this NBA betting series, the winning team has scored more than 100 points in eight of the last night meetings.  Philly averaged 105.8 points in this basketball betting series last year, while Washington averaged 96 points per game. Andre Iguodala averaged 18.5 points to lead Philadelphia in basketball betting. Antawn Jamison averaged 20.3 points and 9.8 rebounds against the 76ers in this basketball betting matchup.

The Wizards have Jamison back in the lineup but they are still struggling in basketball betting. They were blown out on Saturday by San Antonio in basketball betting and lost Mike Miller to a calf injury in the first quarter. “They think they heard the muscle pop,” said Wizards head coach Flip Saunders. If it is that it could be a minimum of four to five weeks.”  The Wizards are struggling to find offensive continuity even though Jamison and Randy Foye are back in the lineup.  Gilbert Arenas is not shooting the ball well and the entire team looks out of synch and it has hurt them in basketball betting.  “We have not been able to put everything together. We have players playing tight because they are frustrated. You have players who are not playing who feel they should be playing.” Saunders said, “Guys will get opportunities starting Monday because we are not getting it done as it is right now.”

Philadelphia has been no bargain this season in basketball betting but they are at least .500 on the road in terms of the NBA betting odds.  The Sixers have been awful at home but in this game at Washington they could be worth a look in basketball betting.  The key will be getting someone other than Iguodola to score.

The Wizards have a losing record at home and on the road in basketball betting.  Now that they are healthy they should start to improve but when that happens is the key NBA betting question.
