Philadelphia 76ers at Sacramento Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting favors the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday as they host the Philadelphia 76ers.

This is the first of two meetings between the two teams this season. Last year in NBA betting, the 76ers won both games.

Basketball betting has seen Philadelphia win six of the last ten games against Sacramento. The 76ers have won three of the last five at Sacramento including 112-100 last year in basketball betting. Both of last year’s meetings between the two teams went over the NBA betting total. With Sacramento having a high-powered offense this season, that result could happen again in this game.

Philadelphia has not been a good team this basketball betting season but you have to really take note with the 76ers because they have a huge home/road dichotomy. The 76ers are the worst team in the basketball betting league at home but they have a winning record versus the NBA betting odds on the road. It would seem like you could go against Philadelphia in all situations but they have proven on the road they can be competitive and cover the basketball betting odds. The 76ers are in the bottom third of the league in scoring and on defense so it is tough to get too excited about Philadelphia even though they do have winning record vs. the basketball betting pointspread on the road.

Sacramento has been one of the most pleasant surprises this basketball betting seasons. Yes, they are still below .500 overall but they are much improved from last year and they have a very good record against the basketball betting odds. There is a lot to like about Sacramento in NBA betting. The Kings are 5th in the league in scoring and they have an exciting young rookie in Tyreke Evans. Paul Westphal has done a great job as the coach for the Kings this season and they are a fun team to watch. This is a very young Sacramento team so they can be inconsistent at times. They are definitely more popular in basketball betting than the 76ers though. The Kings have had a couple of tough losses to Cleveland and the Lakers on this homestand. It will be interesting to see if they have a letdown after games against the Cavaliers, Lakers and Nuggets. It is definitely a step down in basketball betting to now face the Philadelphia 76ers.
