Philadelphia 76ers at Los Angeles Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting has a TNT-televised game on Thursday as the Philadelphia 76ers face the Los Angeles Clippers.

It is the fifth game of a six game road trip for the 76ers and a tough back-to-back NBA betting situation as they played last night at Sacramento.

Basketball betting has the Clippers in a back-to-back as well as they played at Portland last night. Philadelphia has won six of the last ten games against the Clippers in this series. They are 6-3-1 against the NBA betting odds in those games. The teams met just over a week ago in Philadelphia and the Clippers came away with the 112-107 road victory in basketball betting. In the games played at Los Angeles recently, the teams have split the last four meetings straight up although the 76ers have won three of the four against the NBA betting pointspread. The last two meetings between the two teams have gone over the basketball betting total but the previous four all went under.

On paper there is not a lot to like about either of these teams in basketball betting but it should be noted that Philadelphia does have a winning record vs. the NBA betting odds on the road. At home they are terrible but on the road they can sometimes sneak under the basketball betting line. Andre Iguodala is still a player who can impact basketball betting odds and Elton Brand can also make an impact. Anytime Brand faces his former team he will want to play well so that could be a factor in this basketball betting game as well.

Los Angeles may have a better overall record than Philadelphia straight up but the Clippers have struggled against the basketball betting pointspread at home. The Clippers simply are not a good team at home for those betting on them. Los Angeles is 5-10-1 at home this season versus the basketball betting line. The Clippers have talent but they don’t always show up. They can play great one night and beat the Celtics and the next night they can lose to a team like New York. Chris Kaman has been leading the team in scoring this year with about 20 points per game. The Clippers also have injury issues so they are not at full strength. The team is hoping to get #1 pick Blake Griffin back sometime this basketball betting season.
