Pacers at Grizzlies with Playoffs On the Line

January 10th, 2020 NBA Basketball

With this Wednesday the 15th of April 2015 being the last day of the 2014- 15 NBA Regular Season and the game we are previewing should be a very exciting game. The game sees the Indian Pacers 38-43 playing at the Memphis Grizzlies 54-27 with the tip-off being at 9:40 PM ET and the game being played at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee and will be seen ESPN TV.

The opening betting odds have the Grizzlies of Memphis favored at -1 with the total at 184 ½ and -115 on the Money Line with the comeback on the Pacers of Indiana at +1 and -105 on the Money Line.

This is a game that the Pacers, after finishing some 81 game, with a lot of injuries, with several 6 game win streaks, and several 6 game loss streaks, the fact of will the Pacers make the playoffs will be determined with this final game of the regular season against the Grizzlies of Memphis. The Pacers of Indiana will only make the playoffs if they defeat the Grizzlies of Memphis in this last game this Wednesday night the 15th of April 2015, a date for Pacer fans to remember and hopefully for them cherish with a win by Indiana.

That’s something they to accomplish is easy to talk about, but somewhat difficult to accomplish on the basketball court, especially after the Pacers have just completed a six game consecutive win streak, and we wonder if they have enough fuel remaining to win this game, especially since last night they had a very tiring outing in their double OT win over the Wizards of Washington, and that game and tonight’s game are back to back games on the road, which are always very demanding games. However, over the season the Pacers have overcome such conditions and have made it to this point in the last regular season game with everything of their 2014-15 season on the line, as a win their in, and a loss they go home and begin to prepare for the 2015-16 season.

There is on scenario that could take place if the Pacer should fail to win that would allow them to take over the 8th and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. That would require that the Magic of Orlando would have to beat the Nets of Brooklyn, and if that does not take place then the Nets will claim the 8th spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs because they control the tiebreaker over the Pacers of Indiana.

What the Grizzlies of Memphis have at stake in this game still gives them a lot to play for as if they win this game against the Pacer of Indiana they more than likely could move up to the fifth seed in the very competitive Conference of the West. If they should lose they would be locked in for the sixth seed in the West playoffs. The advantage of being the fifth seed is that, the team has home court advantage in the 1st round of games. Their problem coming into this game with the Pacers is their injury to key players, like Gasol there All-Star Center, and guard Conley and key defender Allen.

If you are a Pacers or Grizzlies fan at Bet on NBA at SBG Global take note that the if the Grizzlies win this game the will sweep the Pacers for the 2014-15 season which they did also back in the 2010-11 season, so you see the Pacers definitely have got a tough game facing them tonight.
