Basketball bet late night action on Thursday will have odds on the Denver Nuggets who host the New Orleans Hornets in a game that can be seen on TNT television.
The Hornets are playing the fourth game of a five game road trip and this basketball betting situation does not favor them, especially since they had to play last night.
Basketball bet wins have been hard to come by for New Orleans against Denver. They are unlikely to get one on Thursday as they are going to be weary having played last night at Golden State. It doesn’t help the Hornets that they have lost 7 of the last 10 against the Nuggets. New Orleans and Denver have met three times this season and the Nuggets have won two of the three. Denver won at home in January against the Hornets 116-110 but they did not cover for those making a basketball bet as they were laying 12 points in that game. That is not usually the case though as Denver usually wins and covers at home against New Orleans. In this series, four of the last five games have gone under in basketball betting.
New Orleans has not played well the past few weeks and they have fallen out of the playoff race. They are about a .500 team on the road this season for those making a basketball bet. The Hornets have really suffered without Chris Paul in the starting lineup. When he got hurt the team simply fell apart and when he returns it is going to be too late to make a playoff push. The Hornets don’t have the numbers of a playoff team anyway. They are below average on offense and on defense.
Denver is the opposite of New Orleans in some respects. They are going to make the playoffs as one of the top three seeds in the Western Conference. The Nuggets have a potent offense that can put up a lot of points. Their defense is nothing special but that is really not an issue in this game against a New Orleans team that has trouble scoring points. The Nuggets have been just above the .500 mark at home this season for those making a basketball bet. They are oftentimes laying double digits but they do have the offense to cover those big numbers. They have also been going over the total more often than not in their home games.
