NBA Wagering Online – How the Seven Teams with New Coaches Have Changed

October 24th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

As you get ready for NBA wagering online for the 2010-2011 season you want to be aware that seven of the thirty teams have new head coaches. Some of these teams could be improved this season while others may be just as bad. Let’s look at those seven teams and consider which way to go with an NBA bet at Sbg global.

Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks were excellent under head coach Mike Woodson but they didn’t win in the playoffs so they made a change to Larry Drew.  The Hawks will be hard-pressed to match what they did under Woodson.  Drew is considered a players coach and when does that type of coach ever win?

Chicago Bulls
The Bulls got rid of Vinny Del Negro and hired Tom Thibodeau.  There is not much debate on this one as Thibodeau should have the Bulls improved this season. Chicago will miss Carlos Boozer early in the season but the early consensus on Thibodeau is that he is an excellent coach, especially in regards to defense.

Cleveland Cavaliers
The Cavaliers got rid of Mike Brown and hired Byron Scott.  It is a tough spot for Scott who is a good head coach. He doesn’t have LeBron James anymore so the expectations are low.  It is going to be a long year in Cleveland but not much is expected so the Cavaliers could surprise if Scott keeps them motivated.

Los Angeles Clippers
The Clippers finally got rid of Mike Dunleavy and they brought in Vinny Del Negro.  He is an immediate upgrade over Dunleavy.   The Clippers have some talent so this is not a bad situation for Dunleavy as he could get them to the playoffs and be a hero.

New Jersey Nets
The Nets hired Avery Johnson and he steps into a good situation. The owner has money, the Nets have some good building blocks and the future is bright.  Johnson still has to survive the growing pains until he gets more players but he is a very good coach.

New Orleans Hornets
The Hornets went with Monty Williams as their head coach.  New Orleans has problems and Williams is not the likely answer.  They have an unhappy Chris Paul and not much else. Nothing will likely change in NBA wagering online results.

Philadelphia 76ers
The Sixers hired Doug Collins and they are hoping he turns them around.  It seems unlikely unless Evan Turner is a superstar.
