NBA Wagering Online: 2010-2011 Orlando Magic Preview

October 24th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

Basketball betting expectations are over the top for the 2010-11 Miami Heat as training camp has begun and with it a brand new and exciting era for the franchise. The Orlando Magic have kind of been lost in the shuffle with the Miami Heat getting a lot of NBA wagering online attention but the Magic are a very good team and capable of winning the NBA title.  Orlando could actually be a better team to take this season with your NBA bet as they could be undervalued while the Heat are overvalued.

Odds to Win the NBA Title at the Sbg global sportsbook – 13-1
The Magic have some appealing odds to win the title this season.  They are 13-1 while the Heat is less than 2-1. And the Magic have the motivation and they have the best big man in the league in Dwight Howard.

Season Win Total 54.5Is it just me or does this total seem low?  The Magic won 59 games last season and yet their win total is 4.5 games less.  The Magic didn’t lose anything from last season but because they play in the same division as Miami, people believe they will lose against the Heat. That remains to be seen.

Last Year’s Record – 59-23 SU, 46-34-2 ATS
The Magic were a good team both straight up and against the spread.  That could be the case again this season.  There is no reason not to like Orlando again this season, especially with all of the attention on Miami.

Projected Starting Lineup
Guard – Jameer Nelson
Guard – Vince Carter
Center – Dwight Howard
Forward – Rashard Lewis
Forward – Mickael Pietrus

Prediction:
The Orlando Magic is highly motivated this season to prove they are the best team in the Eastern Conference.  They don’t believe that the Heat should just be handed the title. Orlando made some minor changes in the off-season as they let Matt Barnes get away but added Quentin Richardson.
The main pieces for Orlando return led by Howard who is the best big man in the game.  Lewis is a good forward but he needs to be more consistent as does Vince Carter. Jameer Nelson is an excellent guard who is vastly underrated and J.J. Redick showed last year he can come off the bench and play well.  Orlando is going to be very good this season and unlike Miami, they could have a lot of NBA wagering online value this season.
