Now that the preliminaries are out of the way the big series in NBA playoffs betting in the Eastern Conference can begin.  The Miami Heat and Boston Celtics had little trouble in their opening round series and now they get to play each other in round two.  Make your NBA playoffs bet at Sbg global.

Miami -160
The Heat are favored to win the best-of-seven series that begins on Sunday against the Celtics.  The main reason Miami is favored is because they have home court advantage. It didn’t look like that would be the case but Boston collapsed down the stretch in the regular season and fell to the #3 seed.  Many people making their NBA playoffs bet thought this would be the matchup in the Eastern Conference Finals but now it is a second round matchup.

Celtics 3-1 in the Regular Season
Miami had all kinds of trouble with Boston in the regular season losing three of the four games. They lost 88-80, 112-107 and 85-82. They finally broke out in a 100-77 win late in the regular season vs. the Celtics.  The problem for Miami is that they have no one inside that can handle Boston’s inside players.  It is not quite as bad as it used to be though because Boston traded away Kendrick Perkins and Miami is getting strong play out of Joel Anthony.

Guard Matchups
The Celtics have the edge with Rajon Rondo vs. Mario Chalmers but there are still times that Rondo goes missing in action. He can’t do that in this series if Boston is to win.  The other matchup favors Miami with Dwyane Wade vs. Ray Allen.  Wade is a huge key in these NBA playoffs betting series as Boston doesn’t have anyone to guard him.

Forward Matchups
At small forward it is Paul Pierce vs. LeBron James and this will be interesting to watch. The edge would seem to be with James but Pierce is a big game player. The other forward matchup has Kevin Garnett against Chris Bosh.  This is pretty even as both players have had their moments against the other.

Center Matchup
There is not much for either team in the middle.  Miami has Joel Anthony while Boston has Jermaine O’Neal. Maybe the Celtics get Shaquille O’Neal back in this series and he gives them the edge but he is not the Shaq of old.
