NBA mock draft picks start with the Los Angeles Clippers selecting Oklahoma forward Blake Griffin with the #1 pick. NBA Draft odds have Memphis with the second selection and they take Connecticut’s Hasheem Thabeet. Here is a look at what could happen with the picks for the first round of the 2009 NBA Draft.

NBA mock draft selections start to differ at #3 as Oklahoma City could go in any number of directions but here we have them taking Memphis guard Tyreke Evans. He would be a great guard to go with Russell Westbrook. Sacramento then takes Spain’s Ricky Rubio at #4 in the NBA mock draft followed by Washington taking Syracuse guard Jonny Flynn at #5. Sacramento would be thrilled to get Rubio at #4 while Washington would love to steal away Flynn from the Knicks or perhaps trade down with New York to get more picks.

Minnesota picks #6 and in the NBA draft they take Arizona State’s James Harden. Golden State makes a reach at #7 and takes Ohio State’s B.J. Mullens in the NBA draft. The Knicks at #8 take Wake Forest guard Jeff Teague in NBA Draft odds at the sports book. Toronto gets DeMar DeRozan at #9 while Brandon Jennings goes to Milwaukee at #10 in the NBA mock draft.

Stephen Curry goes at #11 to New Jersey while Charlotte takes Jordan Hill at #12 in the NBA mock draft. Indiana gets UCLA’s Jrue Holiday at #13 while Phoenix takes Terrence Williams at #14 and Detroit takes DeJuan Blair at #15.

Chicago goes with Duke’s Gerald Henderson at #16 in the NBA draft while Philadelphia takes Ty Lawson. Minnesota goes with James Johnson at #18 with Atlanta taking Darren Collison at #19 in the NBA mock draft. Utah takes Earl Clark while New Orleans goes with Tyler Hansbrough at #21 in the NBA mock draft. Dallas takes Eric Maynor at #22 followed by Sacramento picking Chase Budinger at #23. Portland takes Sam Young at #24 followed by Oklahoma City taking Gani Lawal at #25.

Chicago goes with Jodie Meeks at #26 in the NBA draft followed by Memphis taking Austin Daye. Minnesota goes with Sergio Llull while the Lakers take Patrick Mills in NBA Draft odds at the sportsbook. Cleveland wraps up the first round by taking Wayne Ellington in NBA Draft odds at the online sportsbook.

The 2009 NBA Draft takes place on Thursday, June 25th and will be televised live by ESPN.
