Tuesday NBA Betting Online – Unbeaten Lakers Favored vs. Grizzlies

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a perfect start this season at 3-0 straight up and they are 2-1 against the NBA betting online number.

They are home on Tuesday night in NBA betting as they host the Memphis Grizzlies.

The Lakers won their opener against Houston but didn’t really play very well and did not cover the spread.  The last two games though the Lakers have really picked it up and looked great.  Los Angeles has so much depth this season that the starters have not even been overly extended early in the season.  The team is well rested heading into Tuesday night’s game.

Busy Week for Lakers
The Lakers will get to test their depth this week as they host the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday and then travel to Sacramento on Wednesday before coming home on Friday to play Toronto.  The Lakers will be favored at SBG to win each of those games.  The Lakers are leading the league in scoring at 111 points per game. Their defense has been just average at 14th in the league.  When it counts though, the Lakers can play defense as well as any team in the league.

Grizzlies 2-1 SU and ATS
The Grizzlies are off to a solid start this season at 2-1.  Memphis lost the opener against Atlanta but then got a very good win at Dallas and then a convincing home win vs. Minnesota.  The Grizzlies have an interesting young team that can give teams some trouble.  Going into Dallas and winning is not easy but the Grizzlies did it.  They have the talent to compete with the Lakers for a while, especially if the Lakers are not focused on Tuesday night.

The Lakers have won eight of the last ten against the Grizzlies but they are just 4-6 against the NBA betting online number in those games.  The teams played three times last year and the Lakers won two of the three but it was Memphis who went 2-1 against the NBA betting odds.  The one game in Los Angeles though was a rout by the Lakers as they won 114-98.  That game landed right on the number while the other two games which were played at Memphis went under the total.
