Memphis is favored by three points on Friday and this line is a little bit surprising. The Spurs got a huge momentum lift with the win on Wednesday and it might just turn the series around. Memphis had their chance to end the series and probably should have and sometimes teams have a tough time recovering from a blown opportunity. It will be interesting to see if gamblers making an NBA bet will take the three points with San Antonio on Friday.
Neal Saves the Spurs
The Spurs would already be done for the season if not for rookie Gary Neal. He hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer to tie Game 5 on Wednesday night and send it to overtime. The Spurs went on to win in overtime and now if they can get a win on Friday night there would be a Game 7 back in San Antonio. Neal was a very good 3-point shooter in the regular season at 41.9 percent and led all rookies. He was 12th best in the league among all players. Neal made the big shot but a lot of credit also has to go to Manu Ginobili who made a tough shot to get the Spurs within one with two seconds left. Ginobili had 33 points and when he scores 30 or more the Spurs are 8-0 in the playoffs.
