Friday NBA Betting – Portland at Oklahoma City

November 7th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

The Portland Trail Blazers and Oklahoma City get a quick rematch in NBA betting as the teams meet on Friday night in a game that will be shown on ESPN. The teams met last Thursday with the Thunder pulling out a 107-106 win in overtime.  Making an NBA bet on the Thunder at Sbgglobal has not been successful so far this season as Oklahoma City is 2-5 ATS.

Health of Brandon Roy
Unless you are reading the Portland papers you may not know that the Blazers are worried about star guard Brandon Roy.  The Blazers won over the Pistons on Tuesday but Roy didn’t play that many minutes.  Roy has said that he is not feeling himself and has said that his best days may be behind him.  That type of talk has Portland very worried. Portland general manager Rich Cho was said to be meeting with a top orthopedic surgeon about Roy’s knee. Roy played just 20 minutes against Detroit on Tuesday and scored just 11 points. Roy is averaging 19.2 points a game this season so if he is not fully healthy the Blazers are in serious trouble.

Secret is out on the Thunder
Last season the Thunder was still not respected as a top team in NBA betting. That is not the case anymore. The secret is out on the Thunder and now there are times when they are overvalued.  Oklahoma City is still not a great team yet but sometimes they are being treated as such. The Thunder is still very young and they do make mistakes.  Kevin Durant is a superstar but he got off to a slow start this season.  The Thunder has some excellent talent with Durant and Russell Westbrook who is an emerging young guard but they are still not the Lakers.  The odds makers have not given bettors much value on Oklahoma City this season so you may want to be careful about laying too many points with the Thunder.

NBA Betting Trends
The Trail Blazers are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 vs. the Northwest. The Trail Blazers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 Friday games. The Thunder is 10-3 ATS in their last 13 Friday games. The Thunder is 1-4 in NBA betting in their last 5 home games. The Thunder are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. This game could be worth making an NBA bet on the Under as the Under is 10-3 in the Trail Blazers last 13 overall and the Under is 13-3-2 in the last 18 meetings between the two teams in Oklahoma City.
