The Miami Heat won Game 1 in their NBA betting online series against the Boston Celtics largely on the back of Dwyane Wade. He scored 38 points and ripped apart the Boston defense all afternoon on Sunday in Miami’s 99-90 win. It was a great Game 1 for Dwyane Wade who made 14 of his 21 shots. He started fast with 13 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Miami head coach Erik Spoelstra said Wade set the tone of the game. LeBron James had a solid game but it was Wade who led the Heat and it was James Jones who went wild as he hit five of seven 3-point shots. Boston eventually had to turn their attention to both Wade and Jones not that it mattered. Wade handled everything the Celtics threw at him including the times when they triple-teamed him. When the Heat wins games they do so because Wade does the scoring. If the Heat needs LeBron to score a lot of points they usually don’t win.
Guards Already Deciding this Series
It is hard to just point to two players and say that an NBA betting online series will be decided based on how they play but in the case of Miami and Boston you can point to two players and say that is the case. When Wade plays well he opens up everything for Miami and LeBron is not forced to do all of the scoring. LeBron is a far better facilitator than he is a scorer. If Wade is unstoppable then Miami is going to win. On the other side, Boston’s Rajon Rondo was horrible in Game 1. He had just eight points and turned the ball over way too much.
And Boston has admitted that when Rondo plays poorly they don’t win vs. the NBA betting odds. When he plays great they do win. If Rondo plays like he did in Game 1 then the Celtics will be doing well to win one game in this series. He has a huge advantage against Miami’s Mike Bibby in this series. If he continues to play poorly the Celtics are done. This series is really that simple with Wade the key player for Miami and Rondo the most important player for Boston.
