NBA Betting Online – 2010-2011 Philadelphia 76ers Preview

November 8th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

The Philadelphia 76ers has a new head coach in Doug Collins and perhaps they can be improved in NBA betting online action this season. It would be hard to be much worse than they were last year when they won just 27 games straight up and just 34 against the NBA betting point spread.

Odds to Win the NBA Title at Sbgglobal 150-1
The 76ers are given virtually no chance to win the NBA title this season as they have huge odds.  Looking at Philadelphia’s lineup it is hard to hold out a lot of hope. Their best player is Andrew Iguodala and even he doesn’t get you that excited in NBA betting.

Season Win Total – 34.5
Even though the 76ers are expected to be bad, their win total is 34.5 so odds makers believe they will win seven more games than they did a year ago.  Perhaps that is a belief in Collins as a head coach because the roster for the 76ers is not very good.

Last Year’s Record – 27-55 SU, 34-47-1 ATS
It was not a good year for Philadelphia a year ago.  The 76ers were a go-against on most nights as they simply were non-competitive.  That could change this season at least in terms of the point spread.

Projected Starting Lineup
Guard – Jrue Holiday
Guard – Andre Iguodala
Center – Spencer Hawes
Forward – Elton Brand
Forward – Thaddeus Young

Prediction:
The key this season for Philadelphia is first round draft choice Evan Turner. If he turns into a steal and moves into the starting lineup then the 76ers could be a surprise team.  The 76ers did trade overrated Samuel Dalembert to Sacramento for Spencer Hawes and Andres Nocioni so that should help them this NBA Betting Online season.  Collins is counting on Holiday to be a star at point guard but the jury is still out.  The problem for the 76ers is that they have a backlog at guard so Turner doesn’t have a starting spot yet.  The 76ers need a bounce back year from Elton Brand if they are to be a surprise team this season. Brand was a monumental bust last year and there is a huge question as to how much he has left.  The 76ers still have Iguodala so they will be competitive and if they get Holiday or Turner to contribute this season perhaps they can be a surprise team in 2010-2011 NBA betting.
