NBA Betting Milwaukee Bucks at Portland

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

NBA betting has Portland heavily favored on Wednesday as they host the Milwaukee Bucks.

It is the third game of a six-game road trip for the Bucks and it is not likely to be a productive one for Milwaukee.  The Bucks will be basketball betting underdogs in every game of the six.

NBA betting had seen the Trail Blazers win the last five games against the Bucks until last month when Milwaukee pulled out a 108-101 NBA betting win in double overtime. LaMarcus Aldridge led all players with 31 points and 11 rebounds. Portland has defeated Milwaukee in three straight meetings at the Rose Garden and the Trail Blazers have won 14 of the last 21 games between the teams overall. While the Blazers have done well against the Bucks in Portland, winning three of the last four, they are just 2-2 against the NBA betting odds.

The Bucks are actually about .500 on the road this season versus the basketball betting odds. Milwaukee has Brandon Jennings who is the likely Rookie of the Year and he can impact NBA betting odds at any moment.  He leads the Bucks in scoring but even with his great play, the Bucks are still well below average in points per game as basketball betting statistics indicate. They simply don’t have enough offensive weapons to win consistently in NBA betting. They also have chemistry issues as Michael Redd and other starters have not always given a full effort this season. Their defense is nothing special either. That is probably why the Bucks are going to miss the playoffs yet again this NBA betting season.

Portland has been decimated by injuries this season but they have not let it stop them.  They are still right with Denver in the Northwest Division. The Blazers still have Brandon Roy and LaMarcus Aldridge and they have enough support from players like Andre Miller to win some games in NBA betting. The Blazers are not as dominant at home this season as in the past though so that is something to remember in this NBA betting matchup against Milwaukee.  The Blazers can struggle to score at times and that makes covering the NBA betting odds somewhat difficult at times. The Blazers are actually below .500 in terms of the basketball betting pointspread at home this season and that is very unusual.  Portland still has the capability to win and cover at home though in NBA betting, especially against weaker teams like Milwaukee.
