NBA Betting Houston Rockets at Charlotte

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

NBA betting should be competitive on Tuesday night as the Charlotte Bobcats host the Houston Rockets.

The Rockets have done well historically in this basketball betting series against the Bobcats but Charlotte is making progress. Here is a look at this matchup between the Rockets and Bobcats.

NBA betting has Houston with a 7-3 lead in the all-time series with Charlotte. The Rockets are 4-1 at home against the Bobcats and 3-2 on the road.  The Rockets have won seven straight in this series but the teams have split against the NBA betting odds in the last four meetings.  They have not played since last March though as the Rockets game away with a 91-86 road win at Charlotte.  Six of the last seven games between the two teams have gone under the basketball betting total.

Houston has had a lot of success at home this season but on the road they are an iffy proposition in NBA betting. The Rockets are just 10-12 against the basketball betting odds away from home this season. They have lost their last three road games in NBA betting so this figures to be a tough game on Tuesday night.

Charlotte has been solid at home this season going 10-7 against the NBA betting line.  The Bobcats are winning with a suffocating defense that ranks first in the NBA.  Since Houston is not a potent offensive team this could be a lowing scoring game on Tuesday.  The trends for this game also point to it being a low scoring contest.

Houston has really owned the Southeast Division in NBA betting. The Rockets are 35-15-1 ATS in their last 51 games vs. the Southeast.  Houston’s problem, as previously noted, is on the road. The Rockets are 0-6 in NBA betting in their last 6 road games. The Rockets are 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings against Charlotte.

Charlotte has struggled against the Western Conference lately and against the Southwest Division.  The Bobcats are 1-4 vs. the NBA betting line in their last 5 vs. the Western Conference and they are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 vs. the Southwest.

Five of the last six Houston road games have gone under in NBA betting. Seven of the last ten Charlotte games have gone under the basketball betting total.  The last four meetings between these two teams have gone under in NBA betting.
