NBA Betting – Cleveland at Washington

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

NBA betting favors the Cleveland Cavaliers on the road as they face the Washington Wizards on Wednesday.

This basketball betting matchup can be seen on ESPN television. There are some interesting things to consider in this matchup since these teams have already met once this season.

NBA betting may favor the Cavaliers but it should be noted they are in a back-to-back situation. The Cavaliers had to play at home last night against Golden State in NBA betting. Considering the Warriors are not very good, that game may not have been too difficult.

The Cavaliers and Wizards have already met this season as earlier this month it was Cleveland winning 102-90 at home in basketball betting. LeBron James had a game-high 27 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three steals. Shaquille O’Neal had a season-high 21 points while adding eight rebounds, three assists and one block. Mo Williams had 15 points. Caron Butler finished with 22 points and six rebounds while Gilbert Arenas also scored 22 points and added seven rebounds and five assists for the Wizards in the NBA betting loss.

The Cavaliers have won six of the last ten against Washington but they are only 4-6 against the basketball betting pointspread. Cleveland is 2-3 both straight up and against the NBA betting spread in the last five games at Washington.

Cleveland started the season poorly in NBA betting but they have turned it on lately.  LeBron is having a great year as always and the Cleveland defense is starting to come around. They are now in the Top 10 in the league as NBA betting stats show and those numbers should continue to improve as the season goes on.

The Wizards are just the opposite of Cleveland in NBA betting. They started the season just fine but have collapsed of late.  They are 2-7 both straight up and against the NBA betting line.  Injuries have really hurt the Wizards again this season and they just recently signed guard Earl Boykins to give them some help.  The Wizards are 1-3 at home this season in NBA betting. Washington just isn’t scoring enough points or playing enough defense to consistently win so far this season in basketball betting. That may change in NBA betting when the team gets Antawn Jamison and Randy Foye back into the lineup.  Jamison is expected back for this game on Wednesday.
