NBA Betting: Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Clippers

March 13, 2012 NBA Basketball

The Celtics will not have to travel far, as a matter of fact, they won’t have to travel at all, for their next road game. After a disappointing loss to the Lakers on Sunday, Boston will reenter the Staples Center tonight in Los Angeles to face the Clippers. The game will be the second half of an ESPN doubleheader beginning at 10:30 pm eastern.

Yesterday, the Lakers prevailed with a 97-94 victory after Kobe Bryant blocked Paul Pierces three point attempt and the usually reliable Rajon Rondo missed his shot as the game ended. Rondo did have an impressive double, double with 24 points and 10 assists. Start your NBA Betting action on Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Clippers game.

This was the start to an eight game road trip where the Celtics have not fared well. They are 5-11 playing away from the parquet floor and have lost seven of their last eight road contests. Overall, they are 21-19 and find themselves sitting seventh in the east albeit with a 3.5 game lead over the Knicks for the eighth and final playoff spot. On the other hand, the Clippers will enjoy some home cooking for awhile opening a season high six game homestand with this one. It may take more then some good food however for L.A. to compete, being that the Clippers are just 2-4 in their last six at the Staples Center. They lost last night to Golden State 97-93. The best part of tonights game could be the match up of the aforementioned Rajon Rondo and the Clippers Chris Paul who had 23 points in last nights losing effort. Of course, Blake Griffin is always worth the price of admission himself.

The Clippers overall record stands at 23-16. They are fifth in the west trailing their fellow Los Angeles NBA entry Lakers by only one game for third with the somewhat surprising Memphis Grizzlies in between by a half game either way. Their home record stands at 12 wins, 6 losses. The Clippers are a 5.5 point home favorites, but it will take a $110 wager to win $100. You can lay down the same $110 on the over/under set at 186.5.
