The “soldiers” of Philadelphia have been in for some rough battles of late. They are 3-5 in their last eight. They were able to defeat the lowly Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday 103-85, but thats not saying much, even though it was, without Andre Igoudala who has missed the last two games. He will be a gametime decision tonight. Start your Basketball Gambling action on Phildadelphia 76ers vs. Washington Wizards game.

Jodie Meeks stepped in for Igoudala and then stepped up in that one, netting a career best 31 points. He shot 70 percent (7-10) from beyond the arc. Jrue Holiday put in 19 as well. Spencer Hawes had 10 points and 8 rebounds. The 76ers defense held talented rookie Kyrie Irving to 4 of 13 shooting from the field and Antawn Jamison was just 5 of 14. They also forced the Cavs into 18 turnovers.

The win against Cleveland moved Philadelphia back into a first place tie with Boston for the Atlantic Division lead which they have held for much of this season. Philly is 28-22 for the year and 10-12 in road affairs.

It has been a frustrating week for Washington. While playing well, they have dropped five in a row, but four of them have been by 4 points or less. This stretch includes games against playoff caliber teams such as Atlanta and last nights opponent, Indiana. They were defeated by the Pacers 93-89.

In that one, Jordan Crawford extended his streak of seven consecutive games scoring 20 points or more by hitting that exact amount against the Pacers. Nene scored 16 and added 13 boards for the Wizards as they outrebounded Indiana 45-40. John Wall had 13 points, but also was guilty of 5 turnovers. The Wizards as a whole, committed 17 turnovers versus 7 by the Pacers. Check the Online Sports betting Odds for Phildadelphia 76ers vs. Washington Wizards game.
