Minnesota at New Jersey Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting on Wednesday includes New Jersey at home hosting Minnesota. It is one of the few NBA betting chances for New Jersey to get an outright victory this season.

Basketball betting saw these two teams play a close game the last time they met in October as the Timberwolves got a 95-93 win.  The Nets actually led that basketball betting game by 14 points in the fourth quarter but blew the lead. Brook Lopez had 27 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks for the Nets in that loss and he didn’t score at all in the fourth quarter.

Minnesota has won six of the last ten outright against New Jersey and they are 7-2-1 against the NBA betting odds. The teams met once in New Jersey last season and the Nets rolled 113-84 in basketball betting. The Nets have won four of the last five home games against Minnesota.  Three of the last four overall in this series have gone under the basketball betting total.

The key for Minnesota is getting more than 100 points in a game. The Timberwolves are 4-4 when they score more than 100 points. When they get less than 100 points they are a terrible 1-18.  Even though they did get that win earlier this basketball betting season against the Nets when trailing after the third quarter, the Timberwolves are 1-19 when trailing after three quarters this season.

Minnesota has a poor overall record this season but they have covered the basketball betting pointspread on the road more often than not. This game is a little different though as usually Minnesota is getting big points on the road and that is not the case in this basketball betting matchup against New Jersey.  Minnesota struggles to score points but against New Jersey in NBA betting that may not be much of a problem.

The Nets have been horrible this season both straight up and against the basketball betting odds. And it has not mattered whether they are at home or on the road in NBA betting.  New Jersey is the worst team in the league on offense so it is hard to make much of a case for taking the Nets in basketball betting.  Devin Harris is back and playing well though so perhaps the Nets could get a rare basketball betting victory against a Minnesota team that is almost as bad as they are.
