Miami Heat at Philadelphia in NBA betting

December 4th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting on Tuesday has what should be a very competitive game in Philadelphia as the 76ers host the Miami Heat. Philadelphia has actually done very well in this series against Miami, winning 7 of the last 10 and covering the basketball betting spread in seven of those games. NBA betting has not seen these two teams meet since last March when the 76ers won 85-77.  The Heat have had all kinds of trouble at Philadelphia, losing the last six times and they have just one win in the last 10 trips to Philly.  The only positive for the Heat is that they have split the last four meetings overall against Philadelphia but the two wins were in Miami.  This has also been a low scoring series in NBA betting.  Eight of the last ten meetings have gone under the basketball betting total.  Another interesting stat shows that the two teams have not played a game against each other where they both topped the 100 point mark since 2005.

These teams are going to play four times this season so it is unusual to see the first meeting taking place after the All-Star break.  In fact, Miami has played every other team in the Eastern Conference already this season.  The Heat finally played a little better in their last two games before the All-Star break as they beat Houston and Atlanta.  The Heat actually are better against the spread on the road than at home.

Miami has simply been a disaster against the NBA betting pointspread at Philadelphia.  The Heat are 1-10 in basketball betting in the last 11 meetings at Philadelphia.

The 76ers are 4-1 vs. the NBA betting line in their last 5 games overall. The 76ers are 7-19 ATS in their last 26 home games. The 76ers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 vs. the Southeast. The home team is 17-5 vs. the basketball betting line in the last 22 meetings between the two teams.

Three of the last four Miami games overall have gone under the NBA betting total.  Four of the last six Miami road games have gone under the total. Four of the last five Philadelphia games overall have gone over the total but at home, seven of their last nine have gone under. In this series at Philadelphia, the last five games have gone under the NBA betting total.
