Miami Heat at Orlando Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting on Wednesday includes a premier matchup of superstar players in Orlando as Dwight Howard and the Magic host Dwyane Wade and the Heat.

The Magic are the NBA betting favorite in this matchup that will be televised by ESPN. Basketball betting has the Heat and Magic meeting for the first of four matchups this season. Last season, Orlando won the season-series, 3-1. The Magic have won the last six games in Orlando against the Heat. The Heat actually leads the all-time versus the Magic but they are just 18-22 in games played in Orlando.

Basketball betting has seen the Heat force 115 turnovers in their last seven games. The Heat has converted those turnovers into 125 points.  In other basketball betting notes for the Heat, Michael Beasley has at least nine rebounds in each of his last three games.

NBA betting has seen Miami’s Dwyane Wade score in double-figures in a franchise record 107 consecutive games.  Wade and Mario Chalmers became the second pair of Miami starting guards to score at least 30 points in the same game after recording 30 points each against the Raptors.

Orlando has dominated this series against the Heat recently in basketball betting. Orlando has won 9 of the last 10 outright and they are a very profitable 7-2-1 against the NBA betting odds in those games.   The Heat has not played well at Orlando of late, losing the last four and only one game was remotely close.  Last year the Heat were blown out 122-99 in Orlando in February and they were not much better earlier in the basketball betting season as they lost 86-76.  Their previous three losses in Orlando were ugly as well as the Heat lost 107-91, 120-99 and 94-68.  Miami looks to be a much different team this season in basketball betting but history is sure not on their side in this NBA betting contest.

Miami is 8-5 straight up this season and 6-7 against the basketball betting odds.  The Heat are 2-2 on the road in basketball betting.  Miami is 12th in the league in defense and that has kept them in many games this season.

Orlando is rolling at 11-3 overall and 9-5 against the basketball betting odds. They are 4-3 against the basketball betting number at home this season.  The Magic are very good defensively as well as they are in the Top 5 in the league as basketball betting stats show.
