Miami Heat at Dallas Basketball Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

Basketball betting features Dwyane Wade and the Miami Heat against Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday.

This NBA betting matchup can be seen on NBA-TV. Basketball betting has this as a back-to-back situation for both teams. The Heat were in Memphis last night while Dallas was at Orlando.  It is the last game of a five-game road trip for Miami.  Dallas has won 7 of the last 10 against Miami but they are just 4-5-1 against the basketball betting odds.

The Mavericks have won the last seven in a row against Miami but they don’t always cover the spread.  The Mavericks won 106-93 at Miami back in December.  This has been a road-team series lately and that fits right into the stats for these two teams. The road team has covered the spread the last nine times.  Even when Dallas wins at home against Miami they don’t cover the basketball betting odds.  Dallas has won three of the last four at home against Miami but they are 0-4 against the NBA betting line.

If you are going to take Miami in basketball betting then you want to do it when they are on the road. Miami has been a much better team this season vs. the NBA betting odds on the road.  The Heat are usually a good defensive team as they are in the Top 10 in fewest points allowed.

What makes this game against Dallas in interesting is that the Mavericks are the same way. Dallas has been terrible at home this season vs. the basketball betting line.  Dallas is so bad at home laying points that going against them is almost an automatic when they are at home.  The Mavericks made a big trade to get Caron Butler from Washington but whether he fits into the Dallas rotation is a huge question mark.  The Mavericks are still leading their division but they are not considered a serious basketball betting threat to the Lakers in the Western Conference.  Dallas is just 13th in the league on offense and 15th on defense so they need some help if they are to move into the elite status in the Western Conference.

This should be an entertaining NBA betting game with two of the NBA’s biggest stars matchup up against each other. Wade is red-hot for Miami right now while Dirk Nowitzki usually puts on a show at home.
