Miami Favored at Philly in NBA Betting

December 4th, 2023 Live NBA Betting Lines

NBA betting favors Miami as they travel to Philadelphia on Monday for a game that can be seen on NBA-TV. The Heat are still trying to improve their seeding for the playoffs which begin on Saturday so they should be focused for this basketball betting contest.

NBA betting stats indicate that this is the fourth and final matchup this season between the two teams. Miami leads the season-series, 3-0. The Heat has swept the season series against Philadelphia on two occasions, once during the 1997-98 season and then again during the 2005-06 season. Last season, the two teams split the season series, 2-2. The HEAT is 37-50 all-time versus the 76ers in the regular season, and is 12-31 in games played in Philadelphia.

Miami is probably going to finish fifth or sixth in the Eastern Conference. There is not a whole lot of difference as Miami will face either Atlanta or Boston in the first round.  Miami is playing well regardless and will be a tough team to handle in the playoffs.  The Heat have been excellent on the road lately vs. the basketball betting point spread. They are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 road games.  The only concerns for those taking Miami are that the Heat are only 5-13 ATS in their last 18 Monday games and that they are just 1-6 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Philadelphia.

Philadelphia has not played well this season. They have not been a good team at home as they are 18-38-1 ATS in their last 57 home games. Miami has not done well in very many situations. They are 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 vs. the Eastern Conference. The 76ers are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 vs. the Southeast Division.  Philly also struggles on Mondays as they are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 Monday games.

If you are looking at the total in NBA betting then keep in mind that the four of the last six Miami games on Monday have gone under. The Under is 20-8-2 in Miami’s last 30 road games. Philly has gone over in five of their last six home games. In this series though at Philadelphia, the last six games have gone under.  The Heat won 105-78 at Philadelphia earlier this season and that game stayed under the total.  The two games between the teams at Miami earlier this season did go over.
