Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers Game 4 Betting

LeBron and Cavs on Brink as NBA Games Betting Odds Dogs

June 7, 2018 NBA Basketball

Lebron James and his Cavaliers have no more margin for error.  First, if the Cavaliers lose on Friday they are finished.  Second, their fans will be heartbroken (and mad). Meanwhile, Golden State has a stranglehold on the NBA Finals.  The Warriors lead 3-0 in the best of seven series.  And are big NBA games betting odds favorites to kill off the Cavs.  Cleveland’s weaknesses have been fully exposed in the Finals.  They have no depth to matchup with the NBA’s best.  The Cavs are fully exposed as a one-man team.  Golden State is a team of stars.  They have much more to fall back on in fact.

Series so Far

Golden State got the money with room to spare.  During the last match, the Warriors scored a 110-102 NBA games betting win.  The game went under the total of 216.  Kevin Durant unleashed his inner LeBron by carrying the Warriors.  Durant drained in a game best 42 points in fact.  He also added 13 rebounds.  In addition, the next best Golden State total was Stephen Curry with 11.  For Cleveland it was LeBron with 33 points and 10 rebounds.  Kevin Love added good support with 20 points and 13 boards.

What if Cleveland wins…

If Cleveland wins game four, game five would be at Golden State on Monday.  A game six would be a Cleveland next Thursday.  Game seven would be at Golden State on Sunday, June 17.  Not that anyone believes it will get that far.

Golden State

Golden State is showing why it is such a popular online sportsbook bet.  In this matchup it was obvious early on that they were the deeper team.  Game three is the best example.  When the super star Curry scored only 11, Durant picked up the slack.  If James scores 11, the Cavaliers are dead.  Yet even when he tallied 33, there was not enough support to go with him.  Remember when the Cavs won the title in 2016 LeBron carried them.  But at least at that time they had something of a supporting cast.

Important Names on Court

King James leads the Cavaliers with 35 points per game during the playoffs.  He has added nine rebounds and nine assists per game.  Center Kevin Love is averaging 15 points per tilt in support.  He has added 10 rebounds per outing.  Compare that to Golden State.  The Warriors have three players averaging 20 or more points per game however.  Durant is averaging a team high 29 points per matchup.  Curry, the supposed marquee man, has 25 points per game.  And Klay Thompson adds 20 per contest.  Draymond Green is keeping the glass clean with 11 rebounds per game as well.

What’s next for the Cavs?

With Cleveland on the brink their roster, coaches may be primed for changes.  Meanwhile, Head coach Tyronn Lue considered going to go on medical leave in March.  Cleveland may put him on permanent leave with a firing instead.

Matchup to Watch

The only matchup advantage Cleveland may have here is motivation in fact.  They won’t want to get eliminated at home.  But Golden State has proven their NBA games betting odds worth.  In this matchup the Warriors should finish the kill.  They have too many weapons.  Cleveland cannot matchup with Golden State’s depth.
