Lakers NBA Futures and Props

NBA Futures and props now favor the Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics to meet in the NBA Finals. The Lakers are big favorites against the Suns in the Western Conference Finals while the Celtics are solid favorites in basketball futures and props against the Magic.

NBA Futures and props would be popular on an NBA Finals series between the Lakers and Celtics. The two long-time rivals would attract a lot of interest from fans and bettors. It would also be a huge revenge series for the Lakers who lost in the 2008 NBA Finals to the Celtics. Los Angeles won the title against Orlando last season but they have not forgotten what happened two years ago.  Many of the Lakers would like to get revenge and beat the Celtics in the NBA Finals.

The NBA Finals will begin on June 1st or on June 3rd depending on how long the conference finals last.  At this point it seems that a Lakers-Celtics series in basketball futures and props is very possible.  The Celtics have controlled the Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals while Los Angeles are simply better than the Suns in the West. If the Lakers play the Celtics in the Finals the Lakers would have home court advantage. They would not have the home court edge against Orlando since the Magic finished with a better record.

The Lakers and Celtics each have shown they can win games on the road during the playoffs. The Lakers actually can be a better value in road games than at home where they can be overpriced.  The Celtics are also better on the road vs. the number as they proved in the first two games against Orlando.

The most popular team in the NBA is the Los Angeles Lakers.  They have the star power in Kobe Bryant, the Hall of Fame head coach in Phil Jackson and the celebrity fans like Jack Nicholson.  The Celtics are not far behind though as they have the tradition and the big three of Paul Pierce, Ray Allen and Kevin Garnett. Now they have Rajon Rondo as well. A Los Angeles-Boston series would definitely be the best case scenario for the NBA, ABC, and for the sportsbooks. The two teams are excellent draws and would increase the interest among fans and bettors in the NBA Finals.
