Indiana is one of those teams in the NBA that doesn’t inspire much confidence. The Pacers have Danny Granger and not much else. The Indiana Pacers have a losing record vs. the basketball betting point spread at home and on the road. Indiana is 17th on offense and 25th on defense. Taking Indiana is definitely a risky proposition in basketball betting. The Pacers can cover if Granger has a big game but he rarely gets much help. Indiana is simply not a good team and they are tough to take in basketball betting.
Houston is just 12-14 at home this season vs. the NBA betting line. The Rockets are 15th on offense and 18th on defense and those are simply not good enough numbers for a team to make the playoffs. Aaron Brooks has been leading the team in scoring but he is not considered a star player. The Rockets were expected to trade Tracy McGrady so perhaps they will get some players in return that can help. The Rockets have gone over the total more at home than on the road. 15 of their 26 home games have gone over the basketball betting total.
Houston will probably get most of the attention in this matchup. The concern is that Houston is not a great team laying points in NBA betting. When choosing between Indiana and Houston though, most people are going to take the Rockets.
