Houston Rockets at Phoenix NBA Betting

November 30, 2010 NBA Basketball

NBA betting favors the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday night as they host the Houston Rockets.

The key in this basketball betting matchup will be which team has energy since both played last night.  The Rockets were at the Lakers last night while Phoenix was in Sacramento.

NBA betting has seen both teams do well this season and surprise a lot of people.  The Rockets were thought to be done without Yao Ming and Tracy McGrady but you can make a case they are better off without both of them in basketball betting. The Suns were expected to be good but at times this season the Suns have been great.  Phoenix has cooled down though after a very hot start to the season.

Last year the Rockets won the season series against the Suns for the first time since the 2002-03 season.   Overall though, the Suns have won 10 of the last 15 meetings and 15 of the last 22 against the Rockets. Phoenix has won five of the last seven home meeting against the Rockets.  The last time the teams met was in November in Houston as the Suns won 111-105 in NBA betting.  A year ago the Rockets won two of the three games against Phoenix but they did lose 114-109 at Phoenix in NBA betting

Houston has had much of their success in basketball betting this season at home. On the road they are just about a .500 team in NBA betting. That is not a bad thing though since a team can make the playoffs if they do well at home and break even on the road. Houston is 14th in the league on offense and 17th on defense so they don’t do anything great in NBA betting. They just do enough to usually stay in games and have a chance to win in NBA betting.

Phoenix has similar NBA betting numbers to Houston. They do well at home and are about break even on the road in NBA betting. The Suns win with an offense that is first in the league as NBA betting stats indicate.  Their defense is almost last in the league but so far the Suns are outscoring teams more often than not in basketball betting.  The team does need more support for Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire who have carried them for much of this NBA betting season.
