This Tuesday the 26th of January 2016 with the 2015-16 NBA Regular season moving forward we have an interesting NBA match-up between the visiting 28-16 Los Angeles Clippers (2nd in Pacific) playing at the 23-21 Indiana Pacers (4th in Central) with the game being played at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana with the game tip-off at 7:05 PM ET.
If you Bet on NBA hoops and are an online betting fanatic, some fans have been saying that the Clippers without B. Griffin in the starting lineup will be just fine, but that theory is not holding true. Yes, the teams streaking winning streak after his loss kept that hidden for a while, but following that stretch the Clippers began to struggle and found some problems.
Presently the Clippers are trying to figure out how to win with the absence of their star power forward for the last 2 games of this present road schedule including, and starting with this Tuesday night visit and match-up against the struggling Indiana Pacers.
From the 25th of December 2015 thru the 13 of January 2016 the Clippers has won some 10 straight games, and 9 of those games were played without their star power forward Griffin. The team believed that Griffin would return for this 4 game road trip, but as present he may be back for the final 2 games of the road trip since he is recovering from an injury to his left quadriceps with a torn tendon. Since then they have managed in their ultimate 5 games to lose some 3 games and that includes their loss 112-94 this past Sunday to the Raptors of Toronto, and that was their worst loss of the season as far as point difference is concerned.
The bench was their problem in that game as the Raptors off the bench outscored the Clippers bench 51 to 29. Regarding the 5 L.A. starters were a +5 or more and their reserves were a -23 or even worse in the game. Their coach rivers stated that his bench played terrible and it’s very rare to lose by 18 or more points and the team starters all were with a plus in the game. Lately the bench had been playing well, but on last Sunday they were at their worst.
When it come to shooting the Clippers are 1 of the top in the League on 3-pointers with a 40.2 % completion since back in December 2015 and their star on 3-pointers is J. Redick who completion rate is 55.3%. That all did not hold true in their last game with the Raptors when on 3-pointers they only managed to make 8 of 27 and they lost on the boards to the Raptors 44-34 and that was their lowest rebounding mark for this season.
For the Indiana Pacers who now are with 23 wins and 21 losses and they seemed to be getting as at the last meeting with the Clippers they won the game on the 2nd of December 2015 at 103-91. That win was the final win of a 6 game winning streak, and in their ultimate 14 games their 12th win. Since then they have been bouncing like a yoyo, up and have experienced a bad streak as in their ultimate 6 games have lost 5 of them.
This past Saturday, on the road they lost 3rd road game of 4 to the Kings of Sacramento 108-97. They shot only a 41.8 percent from the field in that game and without 1player with a point differential that was positive. Their coach F. Vogel stated they have to improve their road game performances, as they have played some games well, but not well enough in all those road games. Thus in this game on Tuesday night they will seek to improve the record when playing at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse were they are 13 and 6. They are coming off a stretch of 11 road games of which they were 4 and 7 on the road.
This past week the Pacers guard P. George was selected to the All-Stars of the Eastern Conference as he came off a stretch of 3 straight games in which he had less than 20 points, but made a comeback with 33 against Sacramento and 32 against the Clippers.
The injuries for this game have the Indiana starting center in I. Mahinmi of France out with a left ankle injury and shooting guard R. Stuckey out also with an ankle injury, while the Clipper list no injuries for this game.
It is predicted by sports betting experts that the Los Angeles Clippers will win despite not having star B. Griffin in the lineup as the Pacers lose their 3rd straight game.
