NBA Betting Online on Cavaliers vs. Thunder – February 13, 2018

Cavaliers-vs-Thunder

The Cleveland Cavaliers have long sensed their lack of championship ability for the 2018 NBA playoffs.  Their lack of NBA betting online value has been a disaster for gamblers.  Cleveland’s flood of red ink has also been indicative of a team grown stale.  With that in mind the Cavs had a blockbuster roster remake on February 8.  The immediate idea was to try and jumpstart their season.  The long range hope was to appease the mercurial franchise star LeBron James.  The Oklahoma City Thunder have enjoyed a much more stable environment.  That being said the betting value for OKC has been lacking as well.  The Thunder host the Cavs on Tuesday.

Cavaliers vs. Thunder TV Coverage: TNT

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been rejuvenated since last week’s roster remake.  They have won and covered their last three games.  All three of those games went over the total.  Cleveland has an overall NBA betting online record of 33-22 straight up and 17-37-1 against the spread.  In away games they have paid out in 11 out of 28 games.  The Cavs are coming off their most impressive game of the season.  At Boston against the East leading Celtics the Cavs dominated in a 121-99 win.  LeBron James was the top man in the win with 24 points, 10 assists, and eight rebounds.  He has been the Cavs leader with 26 points and nine assists per game.  Kevin Love remains out until late March with a finger issue.

The Oklahoma City Thunder have been in their worst stretch of the season.  OKC has lost five out of their last seven games both straight up and against the spread.  Under the total has paid out in four of their last five games.  The Thunder are coming off a 110-92 home payout vs. the Memphis Grizzlies.  Of concern is Russell Westbrook’s ailing ankle.  He missed the last game and is questionable for this one.  Westbrook leads the Thunder with 25.5 points, 10.3 assists, and 9.3 rebounds per game. Oklahoma City has a solid defense that ranks fifth in the Association.

In their previous sportsbook matchup this season OKC scored a 148-124 payout at Cleveland.  It was the second straight payout for the Thunder against the Cavs.  Both of those games also went over the total.  In the last five head to head meetings at the Chesapeake Energy Arena the Thunder covered three times.  Just two out of the last nine games at Oklahoma City in this series have gone over the total.

Matchup to Watch

This is not the best NBA betting online spot for the Cavs.  They have a vastly new roster that must quickly adapt.  The loss of Kevin Love is particularly troublesome.  But Cleveland is playing better while Oklahoma City is not.  Russell Westbrook’s ankle is more than a sore spot for the Thunder.
