Basketball Betting – 2010-2011 Washington Wizards Preview

January 22nd, 2024 Live NBA Betting Lines

The Washington Wizards were a bad team to take last season in basketball betting. There was nothing to like about Washington in terms of NBA basketball betting a year ago. That is not the case this seasons though as the Wizards have the probable Rookie of the Year in John Wall and a team that can actually win a few games this season.

Last Year’s Record SU 26-56, ATS 35-45-2 ATS
We said already that the Wizards were awful last season against the spread at SBG. There was just nothing to get excited about with Washington a year ago. This year should be much different.

Projected Starting Lineup
Guard – John Wall
Guard – Gilbert Arenas
Center – Javale McGee
Forward – Al Thornton
Forward – Andray Blatche

Prediction
The Wizards have top draft pick John Wall and he is reason enough to watch the Wizards this season. He is going to be the best rookie in the league this season and right off the bat he is going to be one of the best guards in the league.  He is that good.  Wall will get much of the press for the Wizards but they do have some other players.  Andray Blatche is another talented young player.  He was very good down the stretch last season and should be a good scoring option behind Wall.  Not to be forgotten, although Washington would like to, is Gilbert Arenas.  He was hurt early in the season but he can still score and can take the pressure off of Wall. Arenas probably won’t be with Washington past this season but he can definitely score and help the Wizards in basketball betting if he shows up to play every night.  Javale McGee has some potential at center and Al Thornton is a solid forward. The bench is weak but at least they have Kirk Hinrich who can come off the bench and provide some scoring.  The Wizards are hoping that Yi Jianlian can do something but so far he has pretty much been a bust in his NBA career.

The Wizards are going to be a lot better in 2010-2011 in NBA basketball betting. They are very young though so they will have some ups and downs but the future is bright for Washington with John Wall leading the way.
