The winner of this series is likely to get routed in the next round by Chicago although Orlando would at least make things interesting. The Magic have more talent but they don’t always play smart while the Hawks are poorly coached and have players who ran their last head coach out of town. Atlanta sometimes comes to play but you never know when that is going to be. The Hawks simply were not ready to play in Game 5 and they were blown off the court. That goes to coaching and to players who simply thing of themselves. Maybe Atlanta shows up on Thursday night and plays well against Atlanta but who knows.
Orlando’s Shooters
When the Magic are shooting the ball well they are a tough team to beat. They shot the ball well on Tuesday and routed Atlanta. Orlando head coach Stan Van Gundy said that the first four games were an aberration and what happened on Tuesday is what normally happens with his team. The Magic didn’t get much out of Dwight Howard but they didn’t need much. When the Magic win games they shoot well from the outside and Howard controls the game on the boards.
