The Atlantic Division is pretty easy to predict in basketball betting. The Boston Celtics will win the division going away.That has been the case for the past three seasons and although the Celtics are getting older, they should win the division again. Boston is still better in NBA basketball betting than New Jersey, New York, Toronto and Philadelphia but it is getting closer.
Boston Celtics –Boston is still a good team but their age is an issue. They added another old man in the off-season as they picked up Shaquille O’Neal. The team also added Delonte West and he gives them backcourt depth. Boston still has the big three of Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen but it is Rajon Rondo who is now the team leader.
New Jersey Nets – The Nets got Jordan Farmar from the Lakers and he should combine with Devin Harris for a nice backcourt. They still have Brook Lopez and they added Troy Murphy and Travis Outlaw. The Nets should be vastly improved this season. If rookie Derrick Favors does anything, the Nets could be in the playoff race for a while.
New York Knicks – The Knicks made a big off-season splash as they added Amare Stoudemire. Whether he can make enough of a difference to turn the Knicks into playoff contenders is in question but there is no doubt he makes them better against the NBA odds at Sbg global. The Knicks also added Raymond Felton but they did lose David Lee.
Philadelphia 76ers – The 76ers have talent but far too often it does not show up. Andre Iguodala can be very good but he is still not a superstar. Elton Brand was terrible last season and he looks like a waste of money. The 76ers season will come down to rookie guard Evan Turner. If he is great then the Sixers can be a playoff team. If not, they are going nowhere in NBA basketball betting.
Toronto Raptors – The Raptors lost Chris Bosh and that probably means a last place finish in this division. Toronto was not that great with Bosh in terms of basketball betting but at least they could be mentioned as a contender. That is not going to be the case anymore. They have nothing up front and their backcourt is inconsistent as Jose Calderon needs to play better. They do have Andrea Bargnani but not much else.
