Series Update
Now the Raptors lead this best if seven series 3-2 and can clinch with a win in game six. Toronto destroyed the 76ers 125-89 for a game five home payout. Pascal Siakam led the Raps with 25 points and eight rebounds. Additional help came with Leonard’s 21 points and 13 rebounds. Embiid was still not himself and finished with only 13 points and six rebounds. Of great concern is that Embiid continues to battle an upper respiratory infection.

To his credit the record and the 76ers have vastly improved with two consecutive 50-plus win playoff seasons. But this playoff could prove to be the end of Brown’s tenure, fair or not. While the Embiid situation is the 76ers biggest problem their poor showing in game five was inexcusable. Brown was already starting to catch heat and getting eliminated at home will only fan the flames of one of the NBA’s hottest seats.
