NBA Draft predictions are always fascinating to look at before the NBA Draft and this year is no exception. The 2009 NBA Draft will be held on Thursday, June 25th and televised live by ESPN. NBA Draft odds at the sportsbook tell us that Blake Griffin is almost assuredly going first to the Los Angeles Clippers.

NBA Draft futures have Spain’s Ricky Rubio or Connecticut’s Hasheem Thabeet going second to Memphis with the other player going third to Oklahoma City. Sacramento has the fourth pick and NBA Draft futures have them taking either Stephen Curry out of Davidson or Arizona State’s James Harden. NBA Draft predictions show that Washington picks 5th and could take the player that Sacramento passes on. Minnesota picks 6th and NBA Draft predictions have them taking USC guard Demar DeRozan. Golden State picks 7th and New York picks 8th. The Warriors might steal the Knicks selection and take Jonny Flynn out of Syracuse. That might mean the Knicks go with Arizona’s Jordan Hill. Toronto picks 9th and would be thrilled if Memphis guard Tyreke Evans is still there.

NBA Draft predictions have Milwaukee taking Pittsburgh’s DeJuan Blair with the 10th pick. New Jersey could go with Wake Forest forward James Johnson at #11. NBA Draft odds have Charlotte taking Louisville forward Earl Clark at #12 while Indiana goes with North Carolina forward Tyler Hansbrough at #13. The opinions in NBA Draft futures on Brandon Jennings have him going as high as #4 or he could fall to #14 to the Phoenix Suns. Ty Lawson would be a great pick for Detroit at #15 in NBA Draft odds.

New Orleans could take Duke’s Gerald Henderson while Dallas goes with Ohio State’s B.J. Mullens. Sacramento’s second pick could be Pittsburgh’s Sam Young at #23 while NBA Draft predictions have Portland taking Georgia Tech’s Gani Lawal. Oklahoma City gets another pick at #25 and NBA Draft futures have them taking North Carolina’s Wayne Ellington. Chicago picks at #26 and could go with Saint Mary’s Patrick Mills. Memphis has another pick at #27 and could go with LSU’s Marcus Thornton.
