Yankees Need MLB Betting Win vs. Blue Jays 7/2

February 29th, 2024 Betting on MLB Baseball

Yankees Need MLB Betting Win vs. Blue Jays 7/2. Ask any MLB betting fan and they would have told you it was just a matter of time. Sooner or later anyone who knows even the smallest bit about baseball betting could tell you that the New York Yankees would be on top of the AL East standings during the 2010 MLB wagering season. But since taking over the top spot recently the Yankees have struggled mightily in their MLB betting matchups and are now in danger of relinquishing their spot atop of the AL East baseball betting if they don’t start picking up the pace and soon.

Always the most competitive division in MLB betting, year in and year out (and a great piece of evidence in the struggle for baseball betting realignment) the AL East boast three of the top five teams in the MLB Odds action this year. The Yankees are (47-30), the Boston Red Sox (47-32) and the Tampa Bay Rays (45-32). New York had built its cushion in the baseball betting standings to several games but has seen its lead evaporate to just 1.0 game over Boston.

While the Rays and Red Sox were busy beating each other up in a three game MLB wagering series the Yankees had great chance to put even more space in the division standings during its own MLB betting series against the creampuff Mariners (33-44). Yet the Yankees have dropped the first two games of that series, at home, in embarrassing fashion.

The team desperately needs to pick up a few wins over the 4th of July weekend but it faces a tough opponent in its weekend series against another AL East sports betting rival, the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Jays are often the forgotten team in the AL East and haven’t produced much on the field in the last few seasons except for the recently departed Roy Halladay. But with the trading of Halladay this team has actually improved its lot in the baseball betting column and closed out the month of June 1 game above .500 (40-39).

In Friday’s game against the Yankees the Jays will send Brett Cecil (7-5, 4.39 ERA) to the mound to face a struggling AJ Burnett (6-7, 5.25 ERA). Burnett is having a nightmare year but Cecil is stuck in a horrible stretch right now losing his last 3 baseball betting starts and giving up a total of 16 runs.

Look for the Yankees to rebound from a lousy series with Seattle and win this AL East betting matchup.
