MLB Playoffs Odds New York Yankees at Los Angeles Angels

November 30, 2010 MLB Baseball

MLB Playoffs odds at the sports book are going to be close as the American League Championship Series moves to Los Angeles.

The Yankees took the first two games in MLB Playoffs betting at home against the Angels and now the next three games in MLB Playoffs odds will be in Los Angeles.

MLB Playoffs odds are still going to have the Yankees as a popular pick, especially in Game 4 when CC Sabathia could be coming back on short rest.  He pitched on short rest last season four times with the Brewers and was great.  He went 2-1 with a 0.83 ERA in his final three regular season starts a year ago in short rest.  He was superb in Game 1 of this ALCS as the Yankees defeated the Angels in MLB Playoffs odds.  It is possible that the Yankees could go with Chad Gaudin in MLB Playoffs odds and keep Sabathia on his regular rest as both options are open to manager Joe Giradi.

The Angels were set to go with Jered Weaver on Monday in online betting while the Yankees were sending Andy Pettitte in MLB Playoffs odds. Against the Angels this season, Pettitte is 0-2 with a 7.88 ERA in three starts. Pettitte is the MLB Playoffs odds all-time leader in postseason innings pitched with 224 2/3.  He is 15-9 with a 3.89 ERA in 36 MLB Playoffs betting games and 6-1 with a 3.92 ERA in nine ALCS MLB Playoffs odds starts. Weaver is 9-3 with a 2.90 ERA in 17 starts at home.  He was 1-1 in three appearances against the Yankees with a 6.08 ERA. He’s 4-2 with a 5.88 ERA in seven career starts against New York.

On Tuesday in MLB Playoffs odds the Angels were expected to go with Scott Kazmir.  Kazmir did not pitch well in his last start which was Game 3 of the ALDS in MLB Playoffs betting against the Red Sox. He allowed five earned runs in six innings on five hits and three walks, with one strikeout in MLB Playoffs odds. The offense bailed the Angels out late in that game as they swept the Red Sox in MLB Playoffs betting.  Kazmir did pitch well down the stretch for the Angels. He was 2-2 but had a 1.71 ERA in 36 1/3 innings. He has made four career starts at Angel Stadium, three with the Angels. His ERA is a 3.16 in those starts. Kazmir is 6-5 in 15 career starts against the Yankees with but he does have a good ERA of 2.67 as MLB Playoff odds stats note.
